Emily In White Swashes are a layered ornament font family echoing the “bird track” letters of Emily Dickinson’s handwriting style. Some of the most delicate letterforms in the poet’s handwritten lyrics were chosen as the basis for this family with three weights.
You can use outline forms, filled forms or combine them. Get outline forms by hitting any letter on the keyboard (example below: y). Add a 1 after the letter to replace the outline with the corresponding filled version. Now you can apply different colors and by hitting the same letter y once more, followed by a 2 you let the two forms slide over each other. Alternatively you can select the forms from the glyphs palette in Adobe graphic programs.
